Christmas Raffle Nets $544

If you have been reading this blog, you’ve probably heard about our raffle by now. The drawing was held on Friday, December 18. Former Assistant General Manager, Randy Boyd, came into the office to draw the winning ticket – and have some holiday snacks. In the photo above, Customer Service Representative Dana holds the bag as  her former boss  pulls  out the winning name.

The winning ticket was purchased by Gordon Groves of Auxvasse,  a Kingdom retiree formerly of the Plant Department. As you can see, Gordon was pretty tickled about his good fortune. We were tickled too because the raffle netted $544 for our Christmas Family project. The money purchased food and gifts that helped to make Christmas a better time for some of our neighbors. We want to thank everyone who purchased raffle tickets and gave so generously to the project. We’re sorry you didn’t win, but we hope to make another afghan and repeat the project next year. Look at the photographs below,  and you can get an idea of what we (customers and staff) accomplished by joining together in a worthy effort.

Some of the cutest Christmas stockings around lean against a Santa-sized pile of packages.

Sandy and Patti, two of the folks instrumental in making the project a success, pose with the packaging in progress.

The wrapping was almost finished, and Sandy, Patti and Andy prepared to load the truck.
