Round Up Some Fun at the Fall Festival

Cowboy Landscape

Come on, Buckaroos — and all you Tenderfoots (feet?) too —it’s almost time for the Kingdom Fall Festival at our Auxvasse main office! This year we’re headed out to the Wild West for our shindig. Let’s start with the date, so you all know when to saddle up. That would be Friday, October 18. We’ll rustle up some grub starting at 11:00 a.m. and keep cooking until 2:00 p.m., rain or shine. Now we’ve got the basics down, let’s talk about the particulars.

You’ll want to start your visit at the Watering Hole. Just follow the mouth-watering, lip-smacking smell of bratwurst and hot dogs sizzling above a bed of glowing charcoal. You’ll find chips, drinks, and cookies there to round out the meal and yer belly. Kettle Korn will fill up yer feed bag if you have any room left for a snack.

On to the loot! Each and every cowboy and cowgirl will get a handsome cowboy-style T-shirt to take home and wear. It will say “Kingdom Telephone Company” on it, so be sure to wear it in public a lot. Sign up and enter our drawing where you’ll have a chance to win a Roku XD Streaming Video Player, an ASUS 7”/16GB Tablet, or a Canon Pixma Wireless Printer-Copier-Scanner-Fax Machine.

All you cowpokes know it wouldn’t be a rodeo without a horse, and we’re going to have one. Kingdom Technology Solution’s office manager, Kathy Brown, is bringing Sweetie Pie (that’s her stage name) out for the day. Give Sweetie Pie a pat and talk to her like the darlin’ she is.

The Callaway County Humane Society will be on hand with some critters of their own for you to take a gander at and maybe even adopt if one steals that thar heart of yours. Missouri One Call will bring their great big ole Dig Rite truck. Missouri KidsFirst out of Jefferson City will have some information for you about helping to prevent child abuse and neglect. Can’t neglect those little dogies!

Speaking of little dogies, there will be a calf roping game for kids to try their hand at. Every one of the pint-sized rustlers can win a prize whether they lasso that calf or not. An especially lucky one can win a pinata, a little brown pony plumb full of candy.

Of course, we’ll be glad to visit with you about your telephone, Internet service or Skitter TV, our new video product, which is the best thing since Queenie had pups. Lookin’ forward to seein’ you there!
